Since its creation, Brusselle has built up a world-wide image as being one of the most devoted and experienced designers and manufacturers of ship's deck machinery and steering gear for all types of vessels.
On the international shipbuilding markets, Brusselle has built up a strong reputation as a leader in its field.
Foundation of Werkhuizen André Brusselle
In June 1929 the company "Werkhuizen André Brusselle" has been established at the quay of Nieuwpoort. In 1929, the company is specialized in the manufacturing of compact fishing winches for the Belgian fishery ships at a.o. Nieuwpoort, Oostende and Zeebrugge. Brusselle winches were being sold as "Neptune-winches".
New company name: Brusselle Marine Industries
During the 1950's, also big fishing winches have been added to the product range. In 1957 the company name has being changed to "Brusselle Marine Industries". During the 1950-60's also deck machinery such as hydraulic anchor winches and steering gear have being developed and delivered.
Sold to Dutch investment group
In 2008, Brusselle Marine Industries has been sold to a Dutch investment group. Brusselle keeps on delivering the same reliable pruduct range with very large projects during 2007-2012.
In 2014, the Dutch investment group sold the engineering and project knowledge to the current company "Brusselle Carral Marine", located in Zeebrugge, Belgium. Only a part of the production facilities and machines have been bought by the current shareholders.
Engineering and service activities are continued, where production is being foreseen by shareholders companies and new partners. Full Brusselle product range, spare part and aftersales service is being continued.
